Eight month photo shoot

A little insight into how the photo shoots go these days. He gets so excited to hold the sign and wave it around. Oh and snack on it as well!

Down on the farm in Farmington

Russin and Dave hosted a reunion of sorts-gathering us all for snacks and conversation in Farmington. It's a bit harder to get together these days with babies and their nap/sleep schedules, but we did it! It turned out to be a gorgeous day-perfect weather in the shade. It is going to be so fun for Miles and Leah when they're walking-they have so much space to run around up there.

Right now, I'm loving this toy. Next up, staring at those chickens back there!

The sun is enemy #1 this year, can you see why?

Drummer

For some reason, video posts don't seem to be working right now. Not sure why. So, to tide you over, here's a still pic of our little drummer!

Percussion

While at Aunt Mary's for lunch, we decided to let Miles have a go at the drum. Turns out, he loved it! First, for playing (as seen below) and later, he discovered he could make it roll by hitting at it when it was on its side. Guess we better get started on sound proofing the garage. Maybe we'll be finished by the time he asks for his first drum set!

Carrots

Yep, we grew those.

Cheese

Enjoying a tour of Beehive Cheese

We joined several former coworkers from Overstock. It was our specialty as copywriters, taking tours of food and candy factories. Now that most of the department has moved on to other places of employment, we use these as an excuse to get together. The tour itself was fascinating and the cheese-delicious!

Picnic in the park

Inspired by a post on another blog I read (SouleMama), I threw together a picnic for us to enjoy Friday evening when Craig got home from work. The evening was gorgeous. It was so nice to get out of the house and enjoy one our city's beautiful parks. Hopefully, this will become a tradition and maybe with a little planning we might even make it up into the mountains once in awhile.

Aunt Mary

New haircut for Aunt Mary. We love it-she looks amazing!

Farmer's Market

Summer has arrived....well, sort of!

Last hurrah

It's the final days of the pumpkin hat. boo hoo. Well, good thing I know how to knit now, because this hat has been a hit with everyone who sees it! Hard to believe, but we smushed this onto Miles' head this Saturday, June 12th. Yes, JUNE! It's been a chilly weekend. It's okay though, we had a taste of summer last weekend and already I
welcome a reprieve.

Playdate in Farmington

We went to visit Russin and Dave this last weekend in Farmington. While the boys were busy digging holes and moving trees, we were having lots of fun inside! We also went out to visit the goats and chickens. Turns out, Miles is NOT okay with goats. We'll have to work on that.

It's was a hard day for everyone

Stats are in

We had a visit to the pediatrician yesterday. It was quite sad, he's linked the office with getting shots, so there was a bit of anticipatory crying. He would look around, make the connection and then his little chin started to quiver and the tears began. Fortunately, it was over quickly and he was comforted with a snuggle and some nursing.

He continues to be tall and lean (although you wouldn't know it to look at him with those cute chubby hands and belly rolls-not to mention the cheeks and double chin! :-)
