Ring-a-Round a Rosie

I was a little leery of this nursery rhyme because I'd heard it was actually about the Black Plague--um, disturbing. However, a little research on the 'ole trusty internet yielded enough sites (including my favorite: Snopes) pooh-pooing this idea and I'm going to run with it! Besides, I cannot resist the joy he gets from spinning around and hitting the ground and it's nice to have a cheerful (as I now choose to believe) song to go with it.

Happy Easter

Proof that he got treats in his eggs!

Making progress

Yes! That is a goat AND Miles is petting it!! We went to baby animal days at This is the Place monument park yesterday. The weather was lousy and Miles was teething, but this was the perfect distraction. Not so much for the baby animals, but more for the wide, bumpy roads, rocks, sticks and hills to run around on. Oh, and let's not forget the little bridge inside the goat pen. He went over it again and again and again and....well, you get the picture! He loves practicing inclines, declines, stairs and any challenging footing-like ruts and bumps in the road. It's great for his motor skills, so if we have the time (and we usually do :-) ), I say- 'why not?' As for the goat, I have no idea why he was so brave. Perhaps because they were laying down and not making noise or looking at him. Who knows? He also touched a baby bunny and chick. It's certainly not his favorite thing, but he did give it the 'ole college try!

Cutest shirt!

It's still a teeny bit big (the sleeves are rolled), but once I put it on, I couldn't bear to take it off!
