Seven months!

Seven months old. Just when we started getting sleep after the first teething experience, the next bottom tooth decided to pop through. So, back to the drawing board. Sigh. However, today, I felt a little point, so I'm hoping it will hurry up and push the rest of the way out. Crazy to think he almost has two teeth. yikes.
Miles has also started eating a bit. We're experimenting with a few purees here and there. So far, rice cereal, oat cereal, cantaloupe, peas (he did NOT like these), carrots and bananas. Next up: zucchini, sweet potatoes and apples. I can't wait for Farmer's Market produce.
He's also making vowel/consonant combinations now-lots of ma ma ma and ba and ga. Along with this he's learned to screech and scream. fun.
We've started signing with him and he's made his first-for milk. It's really quite fun and we're hoping to add more to his repertoire-we'll see.
He loves, loves, loves the animals-not mutual and sure to get worse once he can move. The dogs actually seem to be okay with him, but the cats-no way. I'm guessing we'll be using Butters as a lure to get him to crawl!
Aside from some fussy times with the teething, still an incredibly cheerful little boy.

Garden gnome

Miles has taken a liking to standing these days (check out our hosta!).

Enjoying the city

OH my GOSH, I'm in a picture with Miles!! Enjoying a small, structural garden tucked in among local neighborhoods. It was a little weird, but we enjoyed the grassy lawn just outside.

View from the rooftop of our downtown library. Gorgeous.

If only we lived underwater

....we'd be chasing Miles for sure. As it is, we still have little time before babyproofing!

Favorite book

Might have to do with the way Daddy reads it, I'm guessing. The other night Craig tried to switch books and Miles dove off his lap toward this one. I have to say, it's my current favorite too.

Strolling

Time for sun hats.....finally!

New jammies

As a sidenote: this is actually the first time I feel I can see a strong resemblance to me as a baby.
